Back by popular demand! The Color Wheel Footstool class is coming to the Stitchin’ Post in Sisters, OR. Contact the Stitchin’ Post to register for this two-part class. Each class is 3 hours long. On May 6th you will learn how to do the sewing, then return on May 20th to construct and complete your project. YES! I said complete and I mean it! Take home a finished project!
That’s right! I’m headed back to see all my coastie buddies! I’ll be at Forget Me Knots in Bandon, Oregon with Michelle and her crew. Such a wonderful shop/retreat center and in a great location. I think next Saturday 1/14/17, will be the perfect day to start a footstool!
Here’s what happens: The class is taught in two parts. The first class on the 14th, you will learn how to foundation piece the panels used to make the footstool “upholstery”. By the end of class you’ll be totally ready to finish the homework and come back in two weeks. Then, on the 28th we will get together again to build the footstool! I bring all the tools and the kits. It is a remarkable day as these wonderful pieces of fabric blossom into a finished footstool! It is so fun to see all the happy faces at the end of class.

Hey peeps! I just heard through the grapevine, or was it email (?) that there are still a couple openings in my next Colorwheel Footstool class! NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! Here are your instructions:
1. Call or go over to Piece By Piece Fabrics.
2. Sign up for the class scheduled for Saturday April 4th and Saturday April 18th from 10:30-1:30.
We will have more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and you will have a finished footstool to cherish or to give away. I’ve made so many now, I almost think I should make one for every quilt. Seeing the different fabric collections and artistic choices for the feet and the tufting button is always inspiring!
