Nancy’s Notions Sewing Weekend was a blast! I did get to catch up with a few favorites, and teach a few classes, as well as spend plenty of time in my booth. It is also a great time to look at the new gadgets, accessories and machines that are “Hot Off The Press” so to speak! Sandy my host/driver made sure I had everything I could ever want, and kept me on time for lunch and my classes! I’m already missing her!
The last night I got to have a fun diner with Pam Damour and Judy Kessinger, both sewing experts. It just so happened that “Love Shack” was on the radio when our driver picked us up for the ride back to the hotel, so we opened the windows, turned up the music and belted it out with the best of them! Super-fun, hope we meet up again soon!
Yes, you heard it here, I’ll be speaking at the Emerald Valley Quilters Guild on Thursday! I’ve got a fun presentation titled, “Where I’ve Been, Where I’m Going, and….Where Did I Put My Keys??!!”
I have a few new quilts to show, and of course I’ll have the usual items for sale, books, patterns and kits. Many of you Know me already, so it will be a fun night and of course I can’t miss the EYE CANDY of Show and Tell! I’m challenging any of you who have made quilts with my patterns to bring them out for the night!
It’s almost here! I’ll be helping to set up the Expo booth tomorrow in Portland. I can’t wait to see the Expo Hall transformed into such an outstanding quilt show! There are so many awesome classes offered, some still have some openings so be sure to check the Pacific Northwest Quilt Expo web site for your favorites, and then register at the show.
I have two classes/lectures. “New Designers: How to Get Started” is Friday, 9-10am. “Going Pro”, a lecture on setting up a longarm quilting business is Saturday, 9-10am. I’ll also be signing books in the Expo booth, #38, just to the left as you enter the door!
I’m going to love seeing so many of my long-time friends and customers there, and will no doubt meet some new ones! If I’m out of touch for a few days, you’ll know I’ve been immersed in quilts/quilt talk and quilters!
