Lights/Camera/Action!

I am very honored to have been chosen  Featured Quilter for the Umpqua Valley Quilters’ Guild 33rd Annual Quilt Show, called Stars Over Oregon!  It is in conjunction with a huge shop hop, “A Quilter’s Safari“, and runs April 22, 23, and 24.  That’s THIS Friday, Saturday, and YES we will be there on Sunday too.  They will have some great exhibits, cash prizes, door prizes, Make & Take, workshops, and if that’s not enough a great group of vendors!  Come see for yourself at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, exit #123 in Roseburg, Oregon.  You won’t be disappointed!  There will also be an Antique Quilt Exhibit at the Douglas County Museum, something for everyone!

Nancy’s Notions Sew Expo

I’m excited to be headed out to Nancy’s Notions Sew Expo tomorrow!  I have to go a day early to be able to set up a booth and see the “lay of the land” in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin!  It feels good to be headed back to the Mid-West!  I’ll be giving lectures each day on Perfect Fit Pieced Borders for quilts, Get Addicted to Free Motion Quilting, and Fabulous Gifts from Up-cycled Materials!  Hope you’ll be able to join in the fun.  Here’s a peak of a few things I’ve sent ahead for my lectures.  I’ll be joined by some fun people from the industry, you’ll recognize their names I’m sure:  of course there’s Nancy (herself with a capital Z!) Zeiman Mark (the comedian) Lipinski, Jenny (most patient and talented teacher) Doan, and Wendy (my old roomie from A Quilter’s Affair) Butler Burns, to name just a few.

Pacific NW Quilt Expo!

3featured_instructors

It’s almost here! I’ll be helping to set up the Expo booth tomorrow in Portland. I can’t wait to see the Expo Hall transformed into such an outstanding quilt show! There are so many awesome classes offered, some still have some openings so be sure to check the Pacific Northwest Quilt Expo web site for your favorites, and then register at the show.

I have two classes/lectures. “New Designers: How to Get Started” is Friday, 9-10am. “Going Pro”, a lecture on setting up a longarm quilting business is Saturday, 9-10am.
I’ll also be signing books in the Expo booth, #38, just to the left as you enter the door!

I’m going to love seeing so many of my long-time friends and customers there, and will no doubt meet some new ones!
If I’m out of touch for a few days, you’ll know I’ve been immersed in quilts/quilt talk and quilters!
