Nancy’s Notions Sewing Weekend was a blast! I did get to catch up with a few favorites, and teach a few classes, as well as spend plenty of time in my booth. It is also a great time to look at the new gadgets, accessories and machines that are “Hot Off The Press” so to speak! Sandy my host/driver made sure I had everything I could ever want, and kept me on time for lunch and my classes! I’m already missing her!
The last night I got to have a fun diner with Pam Damour and Judy Kessinger, both sewing experts. It just so happened that “Love Shack” was on the radio when our driver picked us up for the ride back to the hotel, so we opened the windows, turned up the music and belted it out with the best of them! Super-fun, hope we meet up again soon!
I’m excited to be headed out to Nancy’s Notions Sew Expo tomorrow! I have to go a day early to be able to set up a booth and see the “lay of the land” in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin! It feels good to be headed back to the Mid-West! I’ll be giving lectures each day on Perfect Fit Pieced Borders for quilts, Get Addicted to Free Motion Quilting, and Fabulous Gifts from Up-cycled Materials! Hope you’ll be able to join in the fun. Here’s a peak of a few things I’ve sent ahead for my lectures. I’ll be joined by some fun people from the industry, you’ll recognize their names I’m sure: of course there’s Nancy (herself with a capital Z!) Zeiman, Mark (the comedian) Lipinski, Jenny (most patient and talented teacher) Doan, and Wendy (my old roomie from A Quilter’s Affair) Butler Burns, to name just a few.
